Downloads of images (and their citations) are available in several different sizes and resolutions directly from the website.
The OAI-PMH repository makes available for each item record:
- raw UNTL metadata
- the OAI_DC (normalized Dublin Core) metadata
- RDF/XML (Resource Description Framework/eXtensible Markup Language) metadata
UNT designed their own software system, utilizing:
- Metadata Encoding and Transmission Standard (METS)
- Metadata Encoding and Transmission Standard (METS)
- Archival Resource Key (ARK) specification
- Django Web framework
- Python programming language
- Solr full-text indexer
